Join millions of people around the UK on 6-8 May 2023 to celebrate the Coronation Big Lunch by bringing neighbours and communities together to share friendship, food, and royal knees up. The Big Lunch website will give you all you need to know to get started, including exciting ideas and top suggestions, practical information, and much more.
The Big Help Out, which takes place on May 8, 2023 is an occasion to reflect on the legacy of His Majesty’s service and to highlight the importance of volunteering in communities. The Big Help Out website will offer a list of ways you can help in your neighbourhood starting on March 20.
There will be multiple screenings of this important event throughout Cambridgeshire. The largest screenings will take place at Ely and Peterborough Cathedrals.
There will be a Coronation Tea Party in the Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral. Everyone is encouraged to congregate in the Cathedral for complimentary refreshments and to watch the BBC’s coverage of the Coronation on a large screen.
The Coronation will be streamed live inside Peterborough Cathedral from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is no admission fee and no need to reserve a spot.
There will be a coronation concert and afternoon tea at 4 pm. Performers will include Gabriella, mezzo-soprano, as well as Lucy’s Pop Choir, Peterborough Community Gospel Choir, and Tu dance. The tickets for the coronation concert is £3.
